Tom Melsheimer Discusses IP Litigation with Texas Lawyer
October 8, 2021
Texas Lawyer connected with Dallas Managing Partner Tom Melsheimer regarding Winston & Strawn’s newly established presence in Waco, Texas and how this latest move benefits clients and the firm’s IP litigation practice.
In August, the firm secured approximately 5,000 square feet of office space just steps from Judge Alan Albright’s federal courtroom.
“The volume of cases being filed in Waco demonstrated to us that it will be a destination for patent litigation for years to come,” said Tom. “Having dedicated space down the street from the courthouse allows us to prepare for hearings and trials, and offers a convenient space for client meetings, depositions, and witness preparation,” he said. “Plus, it is hard to say that you really know a venue unless you are there in person to meet people and understand the community.”
