Terry Dee and Chris Murphy Join Winston in Chicago

Winston & Strawn Partners Terry Dee and Chris Murphy’s move to Winston has been featured in various publications. 

Terry focuses his practice on product liability and product-related class actions, antitrust, and other complex commercial litigation. He has tried cases in federal and state courts throughout the country, including Illinois, Ohio, Washington, District of Columbia, Maryland, Arizona and Missouri, and has handled numerous commercial arbitrations. Terry has served as lead counsel in joint defense groups in federal multi-district litigation and multi-party litigation, crafting the national strategy and coordinating the joint defense of those cases. Terry also counsels clients developing products in the health, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries to assess and manage potential risk areas.

Chris focuses his practice on consumer class actions and commercial litigation. He defends clients in a variety of class actions related to consumer fraud, product liability, Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), health care, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), and tax controversies. Chris has defeated motions for class certification in dozens of state and federal courts, won early dismissals and summary judgment for clients in class actions, and has successfully argued appeals of class action decisions in state and federal appellate courts. He also frequently represents clients before the judicial panel on Multi-District Litigation.
