Fife Recognized as Leading California Labor & Employment Lawyer

San Francisco partner Joan Fife was selected as one of California's "Top Labor and Employment Lawyers" by the Daily Journal in a "Labor & Employment" supplement published on July 13, 2011.

Ms. Fife's profile mentions a recent case in which she successfully dismissed with prejudice allegations against her client, a large financial institution, which was facing class allegations of misclassification, failure to pay vacation wages and failure to provide suitable seating. "Running a marathon is very similar to a class action wage-and-hour litigation practice. It is all in the planning and preparation, [and] that is where most the work is. The actual race is like the argument in court," she said.

Ms. Fife is head of the firm's San Francisco labor and employment department.
