Antitrust and Trade Regulation Partner’s Move to Winston Featured in Various Sources
May 11, 2011
Richard Falek's recent move to Winston & Strawn was featured in Law360, Global Competition Review (GCR), the New York Law Journal, the AP and various other sources. Mr. Falek, formerly with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, has joined the firm's New York office. His practice focuses on antitrust and trade regulation issues, particularly mergers and acquisitions requiring Hart-Scott-Rodino Act filings, as well as state and foreign filings and approvals.
Mr. Falek told Law360 that he was drawn to Winston because of the firm's "very, very robust" private equity practice. He said: "I've been finding as my years in the antitrust world continue that private equity transactions are raising more and more interesting antitrust issues. As the economy is somewhat coming around, there seem to be more and more private equity deals, and those deals, like any others above certain thresholds, require approval by the government."
