Winston advises Sun Capital Partners on acquisition of GrowUp Farms

The London office of Winston & Strawn has acted for UK private equity group Sun Capital Partners on its acquisition of Kent based vertical farmer GrowUp Farms in a pre-packaged administration transaction which completed in late 2025. The transaction involved the purchase of the share capital of GrowUp Farms and certain other assets from its parent company GrowUp Group. Under new ownership, the future of the vertical farming business is secured, with jobs being saved and supermarket customers continuing to be supplied without interruption. The Winston team was led by Corporate Partner Paul Amiss with support from London Associate Emily Simmons.
