Winston & Strawn’s Antitrust & Competition Practice is pleased to announce the launch of their limited podcast series, Women in Antitrust.
The series will showcase the exceptional women partners practicing antitrust law. Their conversations will focus on the direction of antitrust law in core industries, including financial services, technology, health care and pharmaceuticals, and sports, as well as their perspectives as women leaders in the legal industry throughout their careers.
In our first episode, Monitoring the Vitals of Health Care and Pharmaceutical Antitrust Enforcement, we discuss recent trends in antitrust enforcement in the health care and pharmaceutical industries, both from federal government authorities and the private bar. We also discuss legislative efforts that could portend even greater changes in the future.
Our second episode, Is it Strike 3 for MLB’s Antitrust Exemption? The Latest Sports Antitrust Cases at Bat, dives into the world of sports, with Partners Angela Smedley and Jeanifer Parsigian chatting with host Diana Leiden about Major League Baseball’s antitrust exemption, the impact of Alston v. NCAA, and potential legislation challenging the status quo.
In our third episode, New Kids on the Blockchain: Antitrust Trends in Web3.0 and FashionTech, Partner and Host Diana Leiden is joined by Partners Sofia Arguello and Susannah Torpey to discuss how companies—from tech giants to fashion labels—are using blockchain and Web3.0 technologies and its effect on competition within their respective industries.
Our fourth episode, Don't Nickle and Dime Compliance: Antitrust and Consumer Protection Risks in Finance, features Antitrust Practice Co-Chair Eva Cole and Partner Dana Cook-Milligan chatting with Senior Associate Alexandra Kushner about enforcement and litigation risks in the financial services sectors. They explore best practices that firms should follow in the wake of volatility and uncertainty in the banking sector.
