Winston Volunteers Lend Their Hands to Help the Homeless

August 23, 2017
The firm’s Washington, D.C. and Charlotte offices helped feed the homeless in their communities by participating in a summer-long Volunteer@Winston sandwich-making project.
D.C. volunteers enjoyed working together on June 14, July 19, and August 16 to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for Martha’s Kitchen, a local mobile food service that provides 150-200 meals every night. Throughout the summer, our D.C. volunteers provided more than 600 sandwiches to local homeless men and women.
Charlotte office volunteers contributed an additional 500 sandwiches during their events on July 19 and August 16. Their efforts benefitted Urban Ministries, which serves up to 800 sandwiches each day to local homeless men and women.
Through our Volunteer@Winston program, attorneys and staff across the firm regularly volunteer their time, talent, and energy by partnering with a variety of organizations to help improve the lives of others.
