Winston Experiences the ‘Great American Eclipse’

Solar-themed snacks and safe-viewing glasses were popular items as Winston attorneys and staff took a few minutes to gather around the television for a live stream of the eclipse as it happened across the United States on August 21. Some ventured outside to experience the once-in-a-lifetime cross-country solar eclipse, which began in Oregon and ended in South Carolina.

In a number of our offices, WISE—Winston Initiative for Sustainable Environment—collected used viewing glasses to donate to Astronomers Without Borders for those who do not have access to buy them for future eclipses.
