Twenty-three individuals from Winston & Strawn’s San Francisco office volunteered their time over the course of the spring at the SF-Marin Food Bank as part of the Food From the Bar campaign, earning the office a Gold Award. The annual fundraiser among the legal community is one of the food bank’s most important campaigns, helping it to feed millions of people since its inception and serve nearly 150,000 people each week.

In addition to the individuals who volunteered, many donated both money and food in support of the campaign. In total, Winston’s San Francisco office donated:

  • $4,565 in cash contributions
  • 10 pounds of food
  • 72 hours of volunteer time

Together, the office’s cumulative donations provided nearly 14,000 meals for Bay Area low-income families. The firm's Los Angeles office also made a meaningful contribution to the campaign, and together the two offices helped Food from the BAR raise upwards of $700,000 which will provide 2 million meals to hungry people in the Bay Area.

Congratulations to our San Francisco office on their valiant effort this year!
