October 28, 2020

On October 28, the Diversity and Inclusion Committee invites you to Winston & Strawn’s inaugural Diversity in Employment Awareness Month Program, “Raising Awareness on Disability: Moving Beyond Inclusion Towards Belonging.” The conversation will be led by special guest Dr. Angelica Guevara, Hastie Fellow at the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Dr. Guevara will discuss the stereotypes associated with people who have apparent and non-apparent disabilities using counternarrative storytelling. She will also define and give examples of ableism and rational discrimination, and illustrate how we can foster a feeling of belonging for people with disabilities.
