Winston & Strawn associates and of counsel from the firm’s London, and Paris offices came together in London on December 7 for the fourth annual EME (Europe & Middle East) Region Associates & Counsel Seminar.

The 34 attendees embarked on a full schedule of engaging sessions designed to provide guidance on career development and firm operations as well as opportunities to strengthen connections with colleagues.

Chief Operating Officer Scot Farrell opened formal programming with a presentation on law firm economics and an update on Winston’s financial performance. The firm’s Director of Learning & Development led a fun and enlightening session in which attendees used the DiSC assessment to understand their own personality style and learn how to better collaborate with people who have different styles.

After a working lunch, Winston's Chief Talent Officer highlighted training, coaching, diversity and inclusion, wellness, corporate social responsibility, and other important initiatives that are part of Winston’s holistic talent strategy. Director of Coaching Diane Costigan led a session on curating a compelling career plan, and moderated an informal panel discussion with newly elevated partners.

Our valuable, well-attended EME Region Associates & Counsel Seminar was followed by a dinner near Smithfield Market in the City of London, which has been in continuous operation since medieval times.
