Jem Li, managing partner of Winston & Strawn's Beijing office, chaired the first day session of Wolters Kluwer's Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions Tactics and Best Practice Conference in Shanghai. Approximately 70 general counsel and business development directors for Asia of Fortune 500 companies, well know multinational companies, and well respected PRC companies attended the seminar.
Mr. Li also gave a presentation on "Key Issues in Cross-border M&A Transactions and Management of Legal Risks," which focused on effective due diligence, issues related to acquiring state-owned companies, purchase agreement negotiation and drafting and post-closing integration issues.
Mr. Li focuses his practice on a broad range of cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, venture capital investments, and foreign direct investment in China. |
