Winston & Strawn advertising, marketing, and promotions partner Anthony DiResta, based in the firm's Washington, D.C. office, served as a panelist on a February 29, 2012 webinar sponsored by the ABA Antitrust Section. 

The “Hot Legal Issues in Social Media Marketing” webinar discussed regulatory issues concerning social media marketing. Mr. DiResta, along with panelists Catherine Bate and Ed Chanksy, discussed new technologies such as foursquare, marketing to kids, how CAN-SPAM and/or COPPA touch social media, the impact of FTC endorsement/testimonial guidelines, and sweepstakes/contest laws.

Mr. DiResta's practice focuses on governmental investigations involving allegations of deceptive or unfair business practices, false advertising, or privacy violations; complex commercial litigation; and business counseling concerning consumer protection issues. He is a former Director of the Federal Trade Commission's Southeast Regional Office. He also serves as General Counsel to the Word of Mouth Marketing Association.
