New Development

A team of Winston & Strawn attorneys led by Dan Webb, Joe Walsh, Derek Sarafa and Greg Bynan successfully helped represent Guggenheim Baseball Management, LLC in their closely-watched May 1 purchase of the Los Angeles Dodgers. In early April, Winston & Strawn joined Foley & Lardner as co-counsel on the deal. Joe Walsh and Greg Bynan co-led the corporate team along with lawyers from Foley. Their work included drafting and negotiating several documents unique to the sale of a professional sports franchise. The transaction also involved arbitration and mediation sessions that were first-chaired by Derek Sarafa. The team also received invaluable assistance from Winston partners Mark Henning, Brian Heidelberger and Roger Lucas, and associates Brendan Barker and John Albers.
