Winston & Strawn Adds Experience to its Corporate and Securities Practice in New York with Arrival of Robert Rawn

NEW YORK — Winston & Strawn LLP announced today that highly-regarded corporate and securities attorney, Robert J. Rawn, has joined the firm's growing New York office as a partner. A lawyer for more than 20 years, Rawn's diverse practice focuses on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures for public and private companies, with significant experience on cross-border transactions. His practice also concentrates on securities offerings and advising public companies on securities compliance and corporate governance matters. Rawn has represented clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, life sciences, technology, telecommunications and private investment funds. He joins Winston from Bryan Cave.

"We're delighted that Rob has chosen to bring his substantial experience to Winston and to help us continue to grow our corporate and other departments in the heart of the nation's financial center," said Michael Elkin, managing partner of the firm's New York office, in part referring to a number of recent high-profile securities, intellectual property and real estate lateral hires, including Alfred Fabricant, Lawrence Drucker, John Roesser, and Michael Scheer.

"The depth of his experience in advising top tier companies in high stakes transactions as well as governance issues will be valued by our global corporate clients based in all 15 of our offices," added Steven J. Gavin, chairman of the firm's corporate department.

In representing companies with a national as well as global footprint, Rawn has successfully handled transactions and helped negotiate deals ranging from mid-market in size to deals with stakes in the multi-billion dollar range, both in Europe and in the U.S.

"I am looking forward to joining Winston's corporate team and helping it to even more fully leverage its substantial know-how for clients," said Rawn.

Rawn received a J.D. from New York University and an undergraduate degree cum laude from Princeton University.
