Chair of Winston & Strawn's advertising, marketing and entertainment law practice Brian Heidelberger was quoted in the August 3 issue's of The Telegraph and Insidethegames.biz regarding Luol Deng and his success obtaining insurance coverage to play basketball in the FIBA world championships.

The article explains that Deng and other NBA players have been badly affected by the ongoing NBA lock-out and the result is that their blanket NBA/FIBA insurance is invalid when they play for any national team. Great Britain recognized the problem and created a contingency fund within their annual budget to try and meet the extra costs. Heidelberger, Deng's Chicago-based attorney, was glad to help in this process and said: "We were delighted that we could fulfill Luol's strong desire to compete for his country while at the same time protecting his business interests. GB means a huge amount to Luol which, in turn, means a huge amount to his management team."
