Winston & Strawn advertising, marketing, promotions partner Liisa Thomas led a series of roundtable discussions on Behavioral Advertising. The event was held at Winston's Los Angeles office on February 29, the Chicago office on March 6, and the New York office on March 14. Winston presented this program in cooperation with the ABA IP Law Section’s Special Committee on Promotions and Marketing Law.
These roundtables focused on the general legal issues surrounding behavioral advertising and the tools and advanced technology designed to track consumer behavior. They also examined the "proposed principles" for self-regulation recently introduced by the Federal Trade Commission, and discussed enforcement polices of the FTC and state attorneys general.
