Winston & Strawn and its Geneva, Switzerland, office was ranked in the first tier of seven law firms recommended in Switzerland for "Dispute Resolution" by the most recent The European Legal 500 (2008 edition).

In its profile of Winston's Geneva-based international arbitration practice, The European Legal 500 notes that the firm "fields a dedicated team of both domestic and international domestic dispute resolution practitioners. Lawyers here [in Geneva] are consistently handling complex, multi-jurisdictional arbitration and litigation for significant international clients." The guide notes Winston's representation of United Rusal, Abbott Laboratories, and the government of Ecuador in substantial arbitration matters.

Winston's international arbitration practice also recently was ranked No. 21 overall in the Global Arbitration Review's survey of the top 30 firms practicing in this area worldwide.
