Winston & Strawn litigation partner Michael Elkin, who concentrates his practice in new media, entertainment, and copyright matters, was named to The American Lawyer's list of "Star Laterals of the Year" published in the February 2008 issue of the magazine.

According to the AmLaw article, Elkin brought nearly $10 million in business and 11 attorneys to Winston & Strawn when he joined the firm's New York office in February 2007. Mr. Elkin left his previous firm, Thelen Reid & Priest, shortly after its merger with Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner.
