Roxane E. Maywalt is of counsel in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office whose practice focuses on energy matters.
Ms. Maywalt has more than 20 years of experience representing clients in electric, hydroelectric, and natural gas regulatory proceedings, hearings, and settlements before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the New York State Public Service Commission, and other agencies. She has worked with major industrial gas users, electric and natural gas utilities, electric generators, large municipalities, federal power agencies, and interstate natural gas pipelines.
In addition, she has advised clients on Department of Transportation and Occupational Safety Act compliance and regulatory issues under the Federal Power Act, Natural Gas Act, Natural Gas Policy Act, Public Utility Holding Company Act, Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act, and New York State Public Service Law.
Activities
Ms. Maywalt is a member of the Energy Bar Association.
Education
Ms. Maywalt received a B.S. in Applied Economics and Business Management in 1986 from Cornell University. She received a J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in 1991, where she served as managing editor of the Syracuse Law Review.
