Mindy D. Cohn, Associate

Mindy Cohn is a senior corporate associate in the firm’s Chicago office concentrating her practice in restructuring and insolvency matters.

Ms. Cohn has represented troubled companies, creditors’ committees, lenders, creditors, receivers, and trustees in work outs and reorganizations throughout the United States.

Her representative engagements include:

• The debtors in the Chapter 11 cases of Ziff Davis Media Inc., Magnatrax Corporation, RoweCom, Inc., Spinnaker Industries, Inc., Nutritional Sourcing Corporation, and DEC International, Inc;
• Official creditors’ committees in the Chapter 11 cases of Sturgis Iron & Metal Co., Arlington Hospitality, Inc., National Energy & Gas Transmission, Inc. and Advanced Lighting, Inc.;
• The agent for the post-petition lenders in the Chapter 11 cases of Orius Corporation and its affiliates;
• The SEC-appointed receiver in the Northshore Asset Management case (an SEC enforcement action against a group of failed hedge funds); and
• A number of aircraft owner participants in several recent airline Chapter 11 cases.

After law school, Ms. Cohn served as a judicial law clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
