Barry Vitou is an English Solicitor and partner with Winston & Strawn in London and leads the technology practice and regulatory practice in London.

Mr. Vitou routinely advises clients in connection with M&A, joint ventures, and venture capital investments, as well as commercial contracts, including licensing and affiliate deals. He counsels companies raising money in the public equity and debt markets and has represented companies in IPOs in London and elsewhere.
Mr. Vitou represents clients on regulatory matters and advises in relation to white-collar, corruption, and money laundering. He has dealt with civil and criminal regulators in jurisdictions all over the world and has advised extensively in relation to government and criminal investigations.
Mr. Vitou speaks at firm and external events about legal issues facing technology companies. He runs www.bootlaw.com, a Web site for technology start ups and occasionally contributes to the Financial Times and other publications about relevant legal issues.

Mr. Vitou is a 1990 graduate of the University of Leicester and completed his Law Society Final Examinations at Chester College of Law in 1991.
