Chip Molster, a partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, has extensive experience handling complex litigation matters in federal and state courts around the country. Mr. Molster concentrates his practice in complex patent infringement, telecommunications, antitrust, injunction, commercial, and other intellectual property litigation. He has also represented clients in product liability litigation, corporate governance/shareholder litigation, trademark/copyright litigation, securities litigation, environmental litigation, construction arbitration, and other matters involving arbitration, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution.

Activities
Mr. Molster is a member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference, the Federal Circuit Bar Association (Northern Virginia Section), the Federal Bar Association, the Bar Association for the Eastern District of Texas, The Barristers, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. In November 2009, he was appointed to a three-year term on the Virginia State Bar’s Special Committee on Technology and the Practice of Law. Mr. Molster serves as General Counsel to St. Stephens and St. Agnes School in Alexandria, Va., and as General Counsel to the Bishop John T. Walker School for Boys, located in Anacostia and operated under the auspices of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, D.C. Mr. Molster previously served as a member of the board of directors of the University of Richmond Law School and St. Stephens and St. Agnes School. In addition, he is a faculty member of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Molster regularly conducts CLE programs relating to patent infringement cases, including in the Eastern District of Virginia, the Eastern District of Texas, and recently in Tokyo, Japan.
Education
Mr. Molster received a B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1979 and a J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law in 1983.
