Winston & Strawn opened its office in Houston in March 2011 with a prominent team of attorneys from the former Howrey LLP law firm, many of whom joined Howrey as part of the 2000 merger with Arnold White & Durkee.

Our Houston office includes a dedicated team of more than 30 professionals practicing in intellectual property law. With broad-ranging industry and technological experience, the Houston IP practice serves clients in all aspects of patent, trademark, and trade secret litigation, as well as Section 337 claims before the International Trade Commission. In addition, the team offers significant experience in patent prosecution and counseling matters. Recognized in 2010 by Chambers USA, the Houston IP team is known for their substantive experience in technology and intellectual property issues.

The commercial litigation team in Houston focuses on securities, antitrust, consumer fraud, and class action litigation cases. The group also has significant appellate and international arbitration capabilities.
