Winston & Strawn's maritime environmental crimes team is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to assist clients with shipboard environmental concerns whenever and wherever they arise. The firm is able to react from a network of international offices to put our attorneys on the ground and on the ships around the globe.

Winston's team includes three retired U.S. Coast Guard officers who are intimately familiar with U.S. Coast guard practices and procedures. Our partners and associates have conducted hundreds of investigative boardings throughout the world in connection with pollution investigations. Our training and experience in the maritime environmental crimes area enables us to know what to look for on the deck plates to investigate potential misconduct and to assist clients with voluntary and involuntary investigations.
