Ivy Liu is a legal consultant of the firm’s Beijing office and focuses her practice on foreign direct investment and PRC employment law issues.
Ms. Liu has wide knowledge of China laws. Throughout her practice in China-related areas, she has assisted several leading multinational corporations in entering a broad range of industries in China.
Ms. Liu’s representative engagements include:
- Advising U.S. and European clients on the establishment and operation of enterprises in China (including representative offices, joint-ventures, and wholly foreign owned enterprises) in various industries.
- Assisting an international hotel group with its establishment of luxury hotels and resorts in China.
- Involving in the acquisition of a majority stake of B share listed company in China by a leading European power company.
- Advising a leading provider of investment decision support tools with regard to its corporate governance, employment, and other regulatory issues in China.
Education
Ms. Liu received a B.A. in Business English from the University of Zhengzhou, PRC in 1999 and a M.A. in Legal Studies in 2008 from the University of Bristol, the UK.
