Molly McGill is a partner in the firm’s Charlotte office who focuses her practice in representing banks, hedge funds, and other financial institutions in asset-based, leveraged finance, and investment grade lending transactions.
Ms. McGill’s experience includes financing for acquisitions, restructurings, and recapitalizations. She has represented the administrative agent, lead arranger, and individual lenders, focusing on syndicated lending as well as middle market single lender transactions over a broad range of areas involving complex bank/bond structures, intercreditor issues, and cross-border facilities.
In addition to her law firm experience, she served as vice president and legal counsel with an investment bank in New York, where she focused on syndicated lending; advising and consulting on structure of transactions and market practice; research and advice on capital adequacy guidelines and other banking regulatory matters, management, and bank policy issues; and liaison with, selection, and monitoring of outside counsel, legal fees, and services.
Ms. McGill received a B.A., with distinction, in 1978 from the University of Colorado, where she was on the dean’s list and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received a joint J.D./M.S.F.S. in 1985 from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service and Georgetown University Law Center, where she was topics editor of Law and Policy in International Business and received honors in the Landegger International Business Diplomacy Program.
