Lana Marina is of counsel in Winston & Strawn’s New York office who concentrates her practice in trademark law.
Ms. Marina has extensive litigation experience before federal district courts nationwide, and has handled hundreds of inter partes proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Ms. Marina’s trademark prosecution experience includes performing clearance searches, rendering availability opinions, and prosecuting marks from filing to registration. Ms. Marina is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the Eastern District of Michigan, the Third and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Ms. Marina received a B.M. in piano performance from Northwestern University in 1990 and a J.D. from Cornell Law School in 1993, where she was a note editor for the Cornell International Law Journal.
Ms. Marina is a member of the Brand Names Education Foundation Competitions Committee of the International Trademark Association for the 2004-2005 term.
