Winston & Strawn Paris Assists the French Ministry of Health and Social Affairs in the Drafting of Template Bylaws for “SISA” Corporations
June 7, 2012
Winston & Strawn assisted the French Ministry of Health and Social Affairs in the drafting of template bylaws for cross professional outpatient care services corporations (Société interprofessionnelles de soins ambulatoires or "SISA").
SISAs are new multi-professional structures inspired by the société civile de moyens (a non-commercial partnership corporation which enables licensed professionals to share working space, equipment, etc.). These entities enable medical activities related to therapeutic coordination and education, as well as cooperation between health professionals. As part of SISAs, these new structures include payment systems for health professionals.
On behalf of the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, Winston & Strawn drafted the template bylaws which are widely distributed amongst health care professionals. In addition to coordinating the SISAs implementation, the Winston team also assisted with the related tax issues. On May 15, 2012, the firm participated in an informational meeting about the new SISA structure, which was hosted by the Federation of Franche Comté Nursing Homes.
The Winston & Strawn team was led by partner Gilles Bigot, head of the corporate department and health law.
