Winston & Strawn Charlotte Hires Partner Jack Cobb

CHICAGO, IL – Winston & Strawn LLP today announced Jack Cobb has joined the Charlotte office as partner in the firm's litigation department. Mr. Cobb's practice has most recently focused on litigation in financial services and other complex commercial matters with McGuireWoods and Helms Mullis & Wicker. He also served as senior counsel to the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee from 2005-2006.
"We welcome Jack's litigation, complex commercial and government affairs experience to the Winston team," said Tom Cottingham, managing partner of the firm's Charlotte office. "His practice within the financial services industry will be valuable to our clients here in Charlotte and firmwide."
Mr. Cobb has represented banks and companies in securities lawsuits, internal investigations, shareholder and corporate governance actions, and contract disputes, as well as clients in antitrust matters in connection with government investigations. He is a permanent member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference and currently a Board Member and Member of the Executive Committee for the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation.
