Winston & Strawn Appoints Jack Cobb Charlotte Office Managing Partner

CHARLOTTE, NC – Winston & Strawn LLP announced today Jack Cobb has been named as the new office managing partner for the firm’s Charlotte office. Mr. Cobb replaces litigation partner Tom Cottingham who will continue to assist with Winston & Strawn’s financial services litigation practice, along with other responsibilities.
“Tom Cottingham has been a leading force for our strategic direction and recent growth in the Charlotte office,” said Thomas Fitzgerald, managing partner, Winston & Strawn. “He will remain as a key member of our management team, and we are pleased Jack Cobb has agreed to take on this new leadership role.”
Mr. Cobb joined Winston & Strawn in February 2013. He also represents clients in connection with government investigations. Mr. Cobb has served as Senior Counsel to the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (2005-2006), and was Senior Counsel to the U.S. Senate Governmental Affairs Committee (1997-1999), where he was Staff Director for the 1997 Campaign Finance Investigation.

Mr. Cobb received his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School, and B.A. from Davidson College. He is a permanent member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference and is currently a Board Member and Member of the Executive Committee for the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation.
