July 10, 2017
The firm’s San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and Los Angeles offices came through in a big way once again this year to support the 2017 Food from the Bar (FFTB) Campaign, a friendly competition in which participating firms compete to fundraise, collect the most food, and contribute the most volunteer hours to help end hunger.
We are pleased to announce that our Bay Area offices raised $6,686, which will provide more than 20,000 meals to those in need. Winston also contributed 49 hours of volunteer time at the SF/Marin Food Bank, working with other FFTB volunteers to pack 4,000 pounds of brown rice, and sort and pack 14,000 pounds of oranges and 35,000 pounds of apples.
Not to be outdone, Los Angeles office attorneys and staff raised $8,667 for FFTB, which will provide nearly 35,000 meals. In addition, our 22 LA volunteers contributed 66 hours at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, assembling nutritious food kits for people in need. Associates Ryan Evans and Caitlin Tran led the charge in the LA office as its campaign coordinators.
FFTB kicked off in April and concluded with awards receptions on June 20 in San Francisco and June 27 in Los Angeles. Both offices were recognized for their efforts, and San Francisco brought home the Gold Partner Award for the second year in a row.
