Winston & Strawn Paris counsels French and foreign companies on all labor law issues, including individual and collective labor relations. Our French and EU labor law team helps clients prepare for and implement corporate restructurings, and anticipate and manage personnel issues that may arise in connection with their business decisions. Our attorneys in Paris provide assistance in the fields of social security, employee benefits, and executive compensation law. We also counsel clients in their relations with their social partners and the administration, and defend the clients we counsel in litigation in all French and EU jurisdictions.

Our U.S.-based labor and employment attorneys frequently counsel multinational corporations and represent them in litigation involving international employment issues, including the extraterritorial application of U.S. employment laws to U.S. multinational corporations doing business outside the United States. We often work with foreign counsel who understand the application of foreign law to multinational corporations.  In addition, we provide advice and counsel and litigate on behalf of non-U.S. multinationals concerning unique U.S. employment law issues such as the defenses provided by various treaties of Friendship, Commerce, and Navigation.
